Our Roots
After years of traveling the south in his youth and competing on the competition bbq circuit as an adult, Pitmaster John Leonard, developed a passion for what he considers to be the true classic American food, barbecue. Now partnered with his son, Jake, the two have built a state of the art bbq food trailer and developed Struggletown BBQ into the premier bbq food truck and caterer on Long Island. Their food contains the key ingredient that sets it apart from all others…love.
